With Hong Kong finally “open” again after the Pandemic lockdown era, people were eager to revisit big public events.

The 33rd incarnation of the Hong Kong Book Fair shared space with the 6th Sports and Leisure Expo, and the 3rd World of Snacks, all organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, so the almost 1 million visitors cannot all be put down to interest in books, but nonetheless there appears to have been keen interest in the publishing side of the event, with government-issued consumption vouchers being eagerly spent.
