Today (September 25) is the third anniversary of the launch of The New Publishing Standard
Unfortunately a particularly potent combination of personal health issues on top of the the usual raft of local conditions (power cuts, internet outages, hardware failures, mosquitoes, school distractions and pandemic lockdown measures…) conspired to force TNPS into an unplanned late-summer break this past week, and there’s been no opportunity to put together the intended review to mark this auspicious occasion.
At least, not today, but watch out for something some time next week to fit that bill.
Here just to say thanks to all our subscribers, casual readers and any lost souls that ended up here accidentally and couldn’t find their way out again.
I’d like to say that Year 4 will see more consistency in posting and more coverage of global publishing, and that is in the pipeline, but right now the electricity gods here in The Gambia have other ideas. We’ve had four power outages in just the time it’s taken me to put this post together.
Yes, it would be so much easier were I to head back to the UK and work from there, but no, that’s not going to happen – my other passion alongside publishing is education and my nursery school projects depend on my presence here. So apologies offered and patience requested as we begin Year 4 of The New Publishing Standard.
keep up the great work!
