None of which alters the worrying reality that Gen Alpha are not being taught to read for fun, Gen Beta are being set up to fail, and neither side of the Atlantic (the ocean, that is, not the Rest In Peace Reading Journal) is anyone actually addressing the real problem in the classroom.
