Saudi Arabia’s Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has launched the first Jazan Book Fair as part of the Jazan Winter Season. Held at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center until 17 February, the event is part of a broader initiative to expand book fairs across the Kingdom, supporting the cultural movement and Vision 2030 goals.

Per the press release, the fair aims to promote knowledge, creativity, and the local publishing industry, aligning with Vision 2030.
The commission is committed to showcasing Jazan’s rich cultural heritage through diverse cultural programmes including a discounted book section, a children’s area with activities in writing, storytelling, theatre, and animation, as well as interactive and cultural events.
Events: Over 250 events, including lectures, seminars, and workshops by Saudi and international experts, will be held.
Year of Handicrafts: In celebration of the Year of Handicrafts, the fair has a special section dedicated to traditional crafts, highlighting their cultural significance and preservation.
