Brazil – the 2024 Bahia Book Biennial has been set for April 26 through May 1 2024 and hopes are the event can exceed the record 90,000 visitors buying 500,000 books as happened in 2022.
The biennial organisers are planning an ambitious programme, per Biennial organiser Tatiana Zaccaro, who explained:
“We are talking about the book as a starting or ending point, from a transversal approach with the most diverse types of media, because the subjects covered in the physical book also become series, films, games, music, and this guarantees that the stories can attract more people forming new readers, since the book is always the protagonist.“
