This year Durban is asserting itself as South Africa’s biggest book fair. That’s according to festival directors Anivesh Singh and Kiru Naidoo, who said they expected to exceed last year’s 3,500 footfall.

The ambition was to clock 2,000 visitors per day over five days, and the target was met, with the DIBF clocking 10,000 visitors this year.

The Durban International Book Fair started August 9 and finished August 13.
