It’s a long-overdue vindication for my childhood battles with English teachers who stubbornly refused to acknowledge comics as an artform and would tell me to go “read the classics”.

I put up a spirited argument that I was studying gamma rays (Hulk), cosmic rays (Fantastic Four), WWII history (Captain America) and that you never knew when a question about radioactive spiders might crop up in an exam, but teachers back then were born with an inability to relate to important stuff.
Looking forward to the day these are set texts in the UK education system.
