The world’s biggest literature festival will be a hybrid event with in-person action for those lucky enough to be able to attend, and a free digital element that will reach across continents.

It’s been a quiet year or so for international book fairs and festivals, but in some parts of the world there are signs of the New Normal bearing at least a semblance of similarity to the Old Normal of 2019 and prior.

Having missed 2021, having just squeezed in its 2020 edition before the Pandemic struck, the world’s biggest literature festival, Jaipur, returns 28 January through 1 February 2022 and, Omicron and other Covid-19 variant developments permitting, will be a hybrid event with in-person action for those lucky enough to be able to attend, and a free digital element that will reach across continents.

The digital elements will continue through February 6.

Later in the year, May 13-22, JLF will visit the Maldives for the first time.
