StreetLib is the publisher behind The New Publishing Standard. While TNPS is not a StreetLib promotional vehicle, StreetLib publishing news is as much publishing news as any other.

As ever when reporting StreetLib news, we re-print the StreetLib Press Release in full below without further TNPS commentary, other than to note the following:

First, that this press release was first published by StreetLib Italia for the Italian book market, so what follows is a paraphrased translation of the original.

Second to explain that Più Libri Più Liberi is the annual Italian National Fair of Small and Medium Publishers, this year held in Rome’s spectacular new congress centre, La Nuvola , designed by the architect Massimiliano Fuksas. Più Libri Più Liberi  claims to be the only trade fair in the world dedicated exclusively to independent publishers.

[PRESS-RELEASE] StreetLib and Il Narratore Audiolibri: The Audiobook. Production, Distribution and the Market

Rome, November 21 2019.

“The Audiobook. Production, distribution and the market ” is the title of a publishing professionals event organised by the Italy-based global books aggregator and publishing facilitator StreetLib and the Italy-based audiobooks production company Il Narratore Audiolibri.

The event is scheduled for next December 5 at 5:30 pm in the Aldus Room at Più Libri Più Liberi, the fair of small and medium publishing hosted at the Rome Convention Center – La Nuvola.

During the meeting StreetLib CEO Giacomo D’Angelo will be joined by StreetLib’s Giovanna Russo and Il Narratore Audiolibri’s Cristiana Giacometti to talk about the Italian and global prospects for audio (audiobooks, podcasts and other), with a focus on how audio can enrich the publisher’s catalog and performance.

The topics of production and investment costs will be discussed, along with processes, distribution channels and new business models, to enable small publishers to design their own audio publishing plan.

All publishers, independent authors and professionals in the publishing sector are invited to explore the proposed themes together with the speakers and to discuss the opportunities of this growing market.

Furthermore, StreetLib and the Narrator will be available for meetings with authors and publishers every day from 4 to 8 December at the trade fair’s Business Centre.
