Opened September 7 and set to run until September 17, the 13th incarnation of the Palestine International Book Fair in Surda, Ramallah, is being billed as the biggest yet.
Politics is pervasive as always, with this year’s theme ‘From the Nabka to the State’, where the Nabka refers to “the destruction of Palestinian society and the permanent expulsion of the Palestinian Arabs from their homeland in 1948.”
Per ME Printer, 61,000 titles are offered by 390 local and regional publishing houses and agencies “making it the largest international book fair in the history of Palestine.”
