The 47th Buenos Aires International Book Fair (FILBA) kicks off April 27, this year marking the 40th anniversary of the end of dictatorship in the country.

With over one million visitors expected, there won’t be much space for publishers and other industry professionals to get together for some quality chat time. Which is were the “Professional Days” or “Professional Conferences” come in.

This year starting April 25, the Professional Conferences are critical to the development of the Argentine book market and publishing industry.

PublishNews ES has the details. What follows are excerpts from the PublishNewsES article.

Fundación El Libro specially invited more than 700 national and international buyers from more than 20 countries, including booksellers, distributors, agents and acquisition managers. More than 50 exhibitors will have their stands exclusively in the Red Pavilion of the fair.
