This year there will be 13 dedicated Professional Conferences among the 2,000 cultural events lined up.


In 2019 FILBo, as the Bogota International Book Fair is known in the Americas, pulled in 605,000 visitors, but any hope of beating that in 2020 was dashed when FILBo became the first major Ibero-American casualty of the pandemic.

This year FILBo may well see an even bigger crowd, with an impressive international line up and a dedicated regional stand for its home publishers outside the capital.

The range of participating countries says a lot about FILBo’s international reputation, with delegations from outside the Americas that will include Vietnam, Mozambique, Nigeria, Czech Republic and Israel.

Mexico will be Guest of Honour, with a 300-strong delegation.
