Prince Mishal Bin Majed, governor of Jeddah and head of the supreme committee for Jeddah International Book Fair, has been inspecting the book fair arrangements as the final days count down to the official launch on Wednesday.
Running December 26 through January 5, the fourth incarnation of the eleven day book fair in South Obhur will be attended by 40 countries, with over 400 Saudi publishing houses on site.
The organizers are expecting 50,000 visitors each day, and as well as some 200,000 books being available, other entertainments are being laid on, both on site and outside, on the shore of the Red Sea.
