Independent Publishers Group (IPG) has announced the addition of five international publishers to its sales and distribution programmes, effective April 2026.

Brijbasi Art Press (Hello Friend Books) – India

A major force in Indian children’s publishing, this New Delhi-based house produces over one million books weekly and has manufactured more than 2,000 international editions. Their dual mission involves exporting Indian production capabilities whilst importing international children’s titles for the domestic market.

Qomix Classics – India

This innovative publisher reimagines literary canon through graphic editions, targeting distraction-era readers who might bypass traditional long-form narrative. Their list spans Shakespeare, Kafka, Hemingway, Woolf, and Sophocles, positioning classics for contemporary visual culture consumption.

Munyx Editorial – Spain

Founded in 2017, this Madrid-based independent focuses on literary fiction with “soul,” handling the full publishing value chain from proofreading through distribution. They have built a reputation for publishing translated YA and literary fiction, including Adib Khorram’s Darius the Great is Not Okay.

Textofilia Ediciones – Mexico

Based in Mexico City, this design-forward imprint champions reading as pleasurable discovery. Their catalogue spans novels, short stories, essays, poetry, and children’s literature, with particular strength in promoting Mexican arts whilst introducing international authors to Latin American markets.

The house received Sharjah Book Authority translation grant support in 2022.

Little Hibba – UK

This mission-driven children’s publisher focuses on Muslim and multicultural representation, producing stories that nurture cultural sensitivity and shared values of kindness and compassion’

Their books prioritise dignified, accurate representation for children from diverse backgrounds.

IPG, founded in 1971 and acquired by Chicago Review Press in 1987, continues to strengthen its position as a leading independent distributor in North America.

The April 2026 start date allows for full catalogue integration ahead of the peak autumn selling season.
