Ukrainian publisher to showcase children’s and adult titles in London and Bologna following record licensing performance.

Kharkiv-based publisher Ranok has confirmed its participation in both the London Book Fair (March 10-12) and Bologna Children’s Book Fair (March 31-April 3), presenting its 2026 rights catalogue at a moment of significant international growth for Ukrainian publishing.

The publisher, founded in 1997, will exhibit at the Ukrainian stand in London (1E101) and at Hall 30, A3 in Bologna, with its rights team available for co-edition and translation discussions.

Market Momentum

Ranok’s spring fair appearances follow exceptional rights performance in 2025. According to Publishers Weekly and Ukrainian industry publication Chytomo, Ranok secured 61 licensing agreements for 75 books in the first half of 2025 alone. This contributed to Ukrainian publishers signing more than 160 licensing agreements during the period, surpassing the 130 contracts recorded for all of 2023.

The growth reflects expanded translation grant programmes including Translate Ukraine and House of Europe, which have helped publishers with limited international experience enter global markets.

Portfolio and Presence

Ranok operates five imprints – Ranok, ART, Kenguru, Fabula, and One More Page – and has sold rights to 22 countries across Europe, Asia, and North America. The company maintains a full-cycle operation with its own printing facilities and bookstores, producing titles ranging from early development to fiction and non-fiction.

The Ukrainian Book Institute has confirmed that national stand participation for Ukrainian publishers at London remains cost-free, with books by Ukrainian authors exclusively showcased.
