Adharxila Trust has announce the annual Brahmaputra Literature Festival – New Delhi World Book Fair Edition 2025, set to take place 6-8 February at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
A Highlight of the Festival of Festivals Initiative
Part of the National Book Trust’s ‘Festival of Festivals’ initiative, this edition promises a rich blend of literary, cultural, and industry insights. The festival aims to represent Northeastern communities and attract a diverse audience, including international visitors.
A Diverse and Rich Programme
Featuring 42 speakers across 12 sessions over three days, the festival will begin at 3PM daily, covering a spectrum of topics from evocative fiction and poetry to children’s literature, graphic novels, music, and food. Highlights include discussions on translations, publishing trends, bookselling, and international literary exchanges.

Arup Kumar Dutta: Award-winning author and journalist.
Mitra Phukan: Writer, translator, columnist, and trained Shastriya Sangeet vocalist.
Parismita Singh: Writer and artist.
Rita Chowdhury: Award-winning Assamese poet and writer.
Kynpham Sing Nongkynrih: Acclaimed and award-winning writer.
Concluding on a Musical Note
The festival will conclude with a performance by Maitrayee Patar—a poet, singer, songwriter, and academic known for her work in Assamese literature and new-age music—at The Amphitheatre, Bharat Mandapam.
