RadioBook Rwanda is a collaboration between Rwanda’s Huza Press, Kenya’s Kwani Trust and the UK’s No Bindings that produces short stories by Rwandan writers in both print and digital podcast editions.
James Murua explains that the first RadioBook Rwanda publications were seen at a recent launch,
featuring one of the writers Annick La Reine Shimwa as well as two of the featured artists Nduta Kariuki and Jessica Atieno. The panel moderated by Aleya Kassam was rounded out by Kwani Trust Editor Otieno Owino.
The evening started with Elizabeth Wichenje the Head of Library and information at the Goethe-Institut Nairobi welcoming the audience then leaving Aleya Kassam to continue with proceedings. The artists took us through the process they went through both in this publication and their art in general. Otieno Owino on his part explained how the organisation he represents went about bringing this publication to light.
