Big Bad Wolf launches its first foray outside South Asia today, with an eleven day 24/7 non-stop book sale in the United Arab Emirates, with 3 million books laid on for eager readers.
The Dubai sale, held in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), the National Media Council (NMC) and Dubai Production City, is the usual Big Bad Wolf 24/7 event, where you can literally buy books morning, noon or night for the eleven day duration.
Explained event organiser Mohamed Al Aidaroos, Managing Partner of Ink Readable Books,
Our vision of bringing ‘The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale’ to Dubai is now a reality. The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale aims to promote a culture of reading through affordable brand-new books as there is a clear demand for such books in the region. By making millions of high-quality, English books accessible, we aim to ignite imaginations, foster creative thinking and help empower the future generation.
Alongside the 3 million English-language titles shipped by Big Bad Wolf to Dubai, the MBRF has contributed a number of Arabic books and publications through its publishing arm, Qindeel Printing, Publishing and Distribution, as part of its commitment to promoting the widespread use of the Arabic language.
MBRF’s latest Arab Reading Index revealing that the average Arab citizen reads around 17 books per year.

Meanwhile Big Bad Wolf is preparing for its big domestic show in home town Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where it will match last year’s 4.5 million books for a mega-event in December. For the Malaysia sale books will be available in English, Bahasa Malaysian and Chinese.
That’s alongside a number of regional Big Bad Wolf events across Malaysia during the year, including Ipoh, Penang, Melaka and Kuching.
